About the Photographer:
I was raised in rural Northern California and currently reside in the Sacramento area. I am an Eagle Scout and hold a B.S. in Psychology from Brigham Young University – Idaho, an A.A. in Social Science from Cosumnes River College, and both an A.A. and A.S. in General Education/Transfer & Science from Folsom Lake College.
When I was about 13, my father gave me a Pentax K1000 and gave me very brief instructions. He explained the meanings of new terms like F-Stop and Aperture, Film Speed and others — each went right over my head, but the pleasure derived from the shutter click was unaffected. Now that I’m a tad older, I made the transition to digital photography which I hoped would be a bit more forgiving than film. I am still enamoured with the click of the shutter; through this photoblog, I hope to share my growth and some of the more intriguing moments captured in singular still images. My shots of choice are primarily landscapes and still-lifes in stifled or mid to low light settings.
